abortion
Micro-aggressions, gluten and a wide assortment of bathrooms
We’re living in strange times.
At the top of our list of should-be concerns are a nuclear ambitious Iran, a nuclear capable North Korea, a leading presidential contender who’s being investigated by the FBI, 18 trillion dollars in debt, more Americans on food stamps than ever before, terrorism on the rise, family values disintegrating, abortion as a contraceptive, half of all pregnancies being unwanted, and that’s just to name a few. You’d think though that we have such deep seeded insecurities that our focus can go no further than those things that have the potential to make us feel bad, probe at our inner vulnerabilities and encourage government dependence. Why else would we be hyper focused on such things as micro-aggression, hurt speech, gluten, GMO’s, safe spaces, and the assurance that we’re certain to have a wide assortment of bathrooms to satisfy any gender bending abstraction. A big clue to our transformation is our newly acquired ineptitude when it comes to figuring out what bathroom to use.
Sadly we’re losing those in our society who were part of the “greatest generation.” To add insult to their sacrifices, it’s being replaced by the “helpless generation.”
What if one-sixth of the population was discarded?
Here’s a sobering thought. Take one-sixth of the population and simply discard them. Horrifying, isn’t it? We’re doing that to those who have the potential to be part of the next generation. Here are some scary facts:
• For every 1000 live births in the United States, 210 abortions occur.
• One million souls each year perish due to abortion as a way to end an unwanted pregnancy.
• Half of all pregnancies in this country are unwanted.
Obama was certainly not talking about the ghastly rate of abortions when he said “Enough is Enough.” We only wish he was a fraction as concerned over the loss of life as shown by these statistics as he was over the abortion clinic shooting and subsequent tragic loss of life. Certainly we don’t condone violence as a way of protesting abortion. The monster who shot up the clinic must pay for his hideous crimes. We do, however, want to ensure that the cost, gravity and frequency of abortions are more thoroughly understood. Then maybe others will also think, “enough is enough.”
Abortion rhetoric or a moral vacuum
It’s amazing to us that some can blame the shooting at the Colorado Planned Parenthood clinic on heat Republican candidates have put on the organization. Well for goodness sake, let’s not talk about the horrific acts that go on in those places and worse yet the cavalier attitude the personnel have when it comes to “harvesting” body parts. While we’re at it, we should also stop any further discussions of the WWII concentration camps. We wouldn’t want anyone to feel bad.
The devil made them do it
Just go ahead and emblazon the term “the devil made me do it” on the seal of the Democratic National Committee. Decadence, elimination of God, bowing to the environment as a god rather than the creator of the environment, and the general loathing for individual self-reliance are considered liberal traits by many. There’s an obvious similarity in values between liberals and the devil. Liberals seem to clearly believe that there should be a lack of moral consequences for the decisions we make in life and hence a lack of moral responsibility. The fact that there are over one million abortions a year is horrific. Throw in the fact that Planned Parenthood harvests body parts like their running an auto scrap yard is unconscionable.
The push by liberals to reduce individual self-reliance is significant. Without independence, government is free to grow at will, inflicting liberal collectivism upon society rather than individuality. Take home-school teaching as an example. Many liberals fume over the notion that education can be provided by parents without government interference or control. Another example is masculinity. We’ve seen the liberals’ definition of a man; a dainty, doe-eyed, child-like representation of an adult complete with hair gel, skinny jeans and a fanny pack. It’s not surprising that this is the picture that liberals want to paint. Boldness, masculinity, independence and family values reek of individual power.
And finally, compassion. Liberals have compassion but for some reason there’s more compassion for the criminals than for the victim. We guess that since the anti-God ideals and planks in their political platform, help create the criminals, the next logical action is to make excuses for them.
All of this points to a real similarity between liberals and the devil. Or at least makes the devil a big fan.
A few inconvenient truths about abortion
In 2011, 21% of all US pregnancies, excluding miscarriages, ended in abortion.
In the US over 1,000,000 abortions occur each year.
Planned Parenthood performs about 20 abortions for each prenatal care visit and about 200 abortions for every adoption referral.
They alone perform over 300,000 abortions a year.
